The Challenge

I’m going to be making new creations from Mrs Florence White’s thus far indomitable collection of

GOOD THINGS IN ENGLAND, to find

new, allergy-friendly, preservative-free, 21st Century, positively dishy takes on her fascinating receipts.

_HUO2906My posts will include the original recipe including wheat flour, cream, castor sugar, and every other delicious evil proposed! I’ll then garner you with two or three new versions. Now we’re talking! Delicious, wholesome, healing food that tastes as good, if not better than the original. Sometimes grain free, sometimes vegan but always gluten free, cow’s dairy free and refined sugar free.

In future posts, I plan to travel to different corners of Britain to find where some of my favourite new recipes come from, as well as the stories behind them.

Come on my journey; eat well, be well in sharing the recipes that result.

I recommend GOOD THINGS IN ENGLAND for all the delights it draws out of the gastronomic history of these fertile islands. You can enjoy healthy versions of the recipes right here.

Oh Karen this is soooo interesting! I am very excited to read more and get into your recipes. I suspect you’re touching on crucial things about kids behaviour relating to what they (we) ingest! Looking forward to biting into the wealth of information and tips, full of hope we’ll find more balance in our lives. Also looking forward to our get together! Lots of love,
    Stephanie
